Site security equipment and integration: what people ask first

Should I lease or buy a mobile surveillance trailer?

Under twelve months, lease. At twelve months and up the rate drops and owning is worth putting on the table. If the exposure never ends, own it or look at a fixed build, which usually costs less per year over its life.

Can cameras and gates actually replace a 24-hour guard post?

On most sites, yes, and it is usually the biggest single saving in the security line. A gate, cameras with analytics, lighting and monitoring cover the hours a person used to sit through, and produce a record. Where a person is still needed, I will say so, and an off-duty officer is often the better answer than a guard.

What does a mobile surveillance unit cost?
