How we handle your information.

What we collect
What you give us. When you book a call, sign up for the security brief, create a referral link, sign a release, or text or chat with us, we keep what you enter: name, company, email, phone, and what you tell us you need. We use it to answer you, to schedule the call you asked for, and to credit the referral partner whose link you used.
What the site records on its own.
- Google Analytics records pages viewed, the device and browser type, the general region, and how you reached the site. It sets the cookies _ga and _ga_2HDXPHRW7K. We use it to see which pages are read. Google's own terms: policies.google.com/privacy.
- Chat widget from GoHighLevel (LeadConnector). It loads on every page and records a conversation only when you open it and type. Anything you send in it reaches us the same way an email would.
- Visitor identification from Apollo.io. This script tries to match a visit to a company from the network address, so we know which organizations are reading about us. It does not read your name from your browser. Apollo's terms: apollo.io/privacy-policy.
- Speed measurement from Vercel, which hosts the site. It records how fast pages load and sets no cookie.
- Referral code. If you arrive through a partner's link, the code is kept in your browser's local storage so the partner is credited if you book later.
How we use it
To respond to you, to schedule and run the call you booked, to send the security brief you signed up for (you can leave it from any issue), to pay referral partners on accounts they introduced, to keep the site working and measure which pages are read, and to meet legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing.
Who else handles it
Business partners that process data for us: Google (analytics and business email), GoHighLevel (contacts, calendar, chat, email and text), Apollo.io (visitor identification), Vercel (hosting), Cloudflare (domain and DNS), and Microsoft 365 (email). Each works under its own privacy terms and only on our instructions. When you book off-duty officers, security equipment or an integration build, the partner that delivers it receives what it needs to deliver it.
Cookies and your choices
The only cookies we set are the two Google Analytics cookies above. You can block them in your browser or with Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and the site works without them. Texts from us stop when you reply STOP. Emails from us carry an unsubscribe link.
Your rights
Wherever you are in the United States, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and ask us not to use it for marketing. Residents of Texas, California and other states with privacy laws have these rights in law; we extend them to everyone. Email jim@mtcsecuritygroup.com with the request and we answer within 45 days. We never treat you differently for asking.
Keeping it safe
The site runs on HTTPS only. Records live in the systems named above under two-factor login. We keep lead and client records for as long as the relationship lasts and as long as the law requires afterwards, then delete them.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. The current version is always at mtcsecuritygroup.com/privacy/.
This site is for businesses and the people who work in them. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
